Parking and Restrooms: Mineral Point, Platteville, Livingston, Rewey
This trail is one of the longest in Southwest Wisconsin, spanning nearly 70 miles and weaving through some of the wonderful communities in the area. Platteville, the largest community in this corner of the state, is home to the University of Wisconsin –Platteville, museums, theater, shopping and lots of activity year round. The ride will also take you past the “World’s Largest M”, representing the area’s mining heritage. The mining heritage of the area is also evident in Mineral Point, one of the
oldest communities in the state, where a tour of Pendarvis Historic Site will explain how mining changed the face of territorial Wisconsin. Amazing views, beautiful valleys with streams and rivers throughout make the ride memorable. You’ll love the “Rustic Road” cut through the hills and forest.
