Far Look Loop (24 miles)

Parking and Restrooms: Spring Green, Ridgeway

This loop traverses numerous wooded areas, curves and hills and the historic village of Hyde. Hyde is on County Road H Hyde Damand includes an operating general store and tavern. The Hyde Blacksmith Shop is open, but with variable hours. One half mile east of the store is the Hyde Mill and Dam where you will probably want to stop for a photo. It is very picturesque. The route is challenging as it traverses numerous elevation changes, but in doing so, it also offers many scenic views. This loop gets its name from an interior road called “Far Look Road”. Other attractions along this loop are American Players Theater, House on the Rock Resort and Golf Course, the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center and views of Taliesin. Access to Ridgeway is via County Road H for 3.1 miles from its junction with County Road Y.
