Parking and Restrooms: Bagley, Grant County Park, Wyalusing State Park
County Road X takes you through the village of Wyalusing and past Wyalusing State Park. Cool your toes or take a dip in the Mississippi at Wyalusing Beach or venture into Wyalusing State Park to view the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. If you’re into mountain biking, the Park has over 7 miles of bike trails, or if you’d prefer some time off your bike, enjoy over 22 miles of hiking trails. Relax and enjoy the view on the three-mile drop just past Wyalusing State Park. This is one of Wisconsin's oldest parks, featuring Indian burial mounds. Hardwood forests, pine plantations, bluffs,
springs, waterfalls, wetlands, and backwaters are home to deer, beavers, fox, and many other animals. More than 90 bird species live here during the summer and 100 more can be observed during spring and fall migration. Wild turkeys, bald eagles, turkey vultures, hawks, owls, waterfowl, woodpeckers, and a colorful variety of songbirds all make their home in this 2,628 acre park. On County Road A, you will experience a challenging climb and relaxing descent of about 900 feet of elevation over 3 miles. The loop passes through the small community of Bagley in an area that provides excellent fishing and river recreation. This loop will provide miles and miles of tolling hills and beautiful views of the river and farmlands that are typical of this area.
